TAPPAN: Release № 6

August 2026

ABOUT THE COLLECTION

These paintings involved more experimenting than I’ve employed in past collections. Before my Summer due date, I felt eager to hole up in my studio and attempt to translate the nuances of pregnancy into visual works…my final collection with Tappan before I’m a mother. Nods and love notes to my independence, autonomy, relationships, and baby are in here, too. You may notice more detail, sporadic texture, and a fresh take on my figures and palette in these pieces. These paintings celebrate a shifting of identity – something I’ll need to redesign after decades of developing.
